Equally heart wrenching yet so inspirational, Anita and her son Michael have provided us all an insight into their personal world. A world that so many of us do not have the courage to face.

This is an important perspective that every parent, family member, or friend of an addict needs to read. The addiction of the parent to protect, and help their addicted child is often overlooked, and yet can be just as devastating to the family as the addiction of their child.

As a mother with a son with addiction issues I was hoping this book would be more of the son's side of the story so I could understand better what my son is going through. I felt like this book skipped some of the pain this family felt to get to the point of recovery.
